Associate Director of Legal Technology
Baltimore MD
Matthew Stubenberg graduated from Maryland Law School in 2013. Interested in using technology to change how the law is practiced, he has developed numerous software applications. Matthew’s first big success was MDExpungement.com, a website that automates the expungement process in Maryland. The site to date has expunged over 90,000 cases. He went on to build a web scraper named CLUE which has scraped over 20 million cases from Maryland's Court website. The resulting data has been used by reporters to write exposes, bring class action law suits, and assists academic researchers. Matthew was also an early adopter of Virtual Reality and has created VR trainings in Maryland, California, Florida, and Illinois. Matthew is currently the Associate Director of Legal Technology in the Access to Justice Lab at Harvard Law School.
