Successful court form automation projects must involve court and community stakeholders, be accessible to unrepresented litigants, and plan for support post-launch. This workshop will highlight how projects in Washington State and Washington, DC are meeting these benchmarks. Participants will discuss the role of strong partnerships and agreements with stakeholders, planning frameworks, plain language, user testing, and other ingredients in project success. Presenters will share the challenges and lessons learned through implementing and supporting these forms initiatives. Participants looking to implement their own large-scale automation projects will take away helpful guidance and concrete tools to streamline this work.
