Online interviews and templates - such as those built with A2J Author, DocAssemble, Guide & File, HotDocs, and Neota Logic - help people get legal work done. They embody a great deal of information. How can we make sure that the substance of the guidance they communicate and the documents they generate are 'right'? That folks can reasonably trust and rely on them? Even beautifully presented and highly usable applications can be wrong, inconsistent, or incomplete. Yet inventorying and verifying the legal know-how expressed in even relatively basic applications can be fiendishly difficult. It's hard enough to build something that works at all! This session will review the challenges of ensuring substantive quality, including when you inherit someone else's work. We'll discuss ways in which developers and their collaborators can address those challenges through testing, documentation, and standard practices.
