Christopher is the Executive Director of Florida Legal Services, Inc., a statewide un-restricted multi-issue and multi-forum impact advocacy organization. Florida Legal Services’ mission explicitly includes advancing economic, social, and racial justice. Its work combines both impact litigation and community lawyering to effect deep and sustainable change. Florida Legal Services operates a number of statewide projects including the Florida Institutional Legal Services Project, the Immigrant and Migrant Rights Project, the Holistic Survivors Services Project, and Florida’s Statewide Training Initiative. Prior to joining FLS, Christopher was the Executive Director of the then-independent Florida Institutional Legal Services which he joined in 1996 after beginning his career at Greater Orlando Area Legal Services as a Berkeley Law Foundation Fellow. Christopher’s practice has covered a broad range of civil legal aid issues, as well as civil rights and post-conviction relief litigation. Christopher earned his law degree at the Boalt Hall School of Law at UC Berkeley and his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University. Christopher may be reached at
