Anne-Louise Wirthlin is the Director of Access to Justice and Strategic Collaboration for the Tennessee Supreme Court Administrative Office of the Courts. She leads a creative team that oversees the Tennessee Supreme Court Access to Justice Initiative, Court Interpreter Program, Court-Annexed Mediation Program, and a variety of grants and projects to further these initiatives. She began her career with the AOC as the Programs Manager in 2008. Before joining the AOC, Anne-Louise practiced law as a contract attorney then worked at a small family law practice. She earned her Bachelor’s degree and J.D. from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Anne-Louise also has an LLM in Taxation from the University of Alabama and a Graduate Certificate in Public Administrative Executive Leadership from Tennessee State University.
Anne-Louise is a graduate of LEAD Tennessee, a statewide, year-long development initiative for current and emerging leaders from all branches of state government. She is trained in Rule 31 General Civil mediation, and is a skilled presenter on access to justice and has authored numerous articles on the topic. She is a former member of the TN Government Leadership Council. Anne-Louise is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association Access to Justice Committee and sits on the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services. She also serves on the Board of Directors as Treasurer for the Tennessee Hemophilia and Bleeding Disorders Foundation and the Hemophilia Federation of America.
She’s married to Steven Wirthlin and they have two young daughters, Audrey and Norah. In the rare moments of free time, Anne-Louise enjoys reading and listening to live music.
